Tulip Lane // Domiteaux + Baggett Architects
This residence, in close collaboration with the owner/interior designer, was imagined as a poised and modern transitional home that functions in multiple ways-as a traditional family home, a place for gatherings, and an entertaining space for a variety of civic and charitable organizations.
Priorities were placed on the openness and flow of the main public rooms to the exterior decks and gathering spaces. This required the preservation of exterior space achieved by implementing an underground garage and mechanical room. This led ultimately to warm and appealing interiors that characterizes the well intentioned interior design.
The exterior architecture, rendered in a palette of subtle brickwork, limestone, refined wood siding, and sheltering deep eaves; express the fusion of the owner’s dual desires of modern and traditional aesthetic.
